Powder Ridge in Middlefield is Hiring for Multiple Positions

The new re-opening Middlefield ski resort will be holding a job fair on Aug. 10.

Show us your fire for sport, teaching and great food at the upcoming Powder Ridge Mountain Park & Resort job fair on August 10, 2013 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Middlefield, Conn. Whether you prefer to be on the mountain or behind the bar, join us to learn about and apply for a wide assortment of year-round and seasonal positions.

Located in Middlefield, Conn., Powder Ridge Mountain Park & Resorts is slated to open in limited capacity December, 2013 and builds off Brownstone Park’s success of catering to the entire family by offering activities for the extreme downhill racer to the relaxed diner. “Powder Ridge is looking for a number of highly qualified professionals to deliver an unforgettable experience to visitors,” says Sean Hayes, Powder Ridge Chief Executive Officer. “We are dedicated to serving the community and will create more than 200 jobs that support local economic development.”

Employment start dates will vary with many beginning as soon as November 1st. Available positions include ski instructors, ski patrol, lift attendants, rental staff, ticket agents, cafeteria staff, snow making and grooming crew and operations and maintenance personnel. The new destination restaurant Fire at the Ridge will also be hiring for all levels of restaurant staff where nationally-renown chef Kevin Cottle will offer guests a full-service dining experience while relaxing by the fire and watching their friends and family conquer the mountain live via flat screen monitors situated throughout the Ridgeside Tavern bar area.
