Powder Ridge Pond Focus of Site Visit Today

Middlefield's Inland Wetlands and Watercourses Agency has scheduled a site walk of the property's pond at 9:30 a.m. Saturday morning.

Members of the town's Inland Wetlands and Watercourses Agency will visit Powder Ridge this morning to hear a plan to dredge the pond located at the base of the ski mountain.

If approved, the proposal submitted by Powder Ridge Mountain Park and Resort would allow the company to increase the pond's capacity from 4 million to 8 million gallons, thus providing all of the water necessary for snowmaking.

The site visit is scheduled to begin at 9:30 a.m. and is open to the public.

The ski area's new owner, Sean Hayes, spoke about the progress at Powder Ridge during Wednesday's Middlesex County Chamber of Commerce meeting.

“We’re moving along very nicely on the project,” Hayes said, the Town Times reports.

I would suggest to parents to donate a book to the classroom or school library in their child's nameRead More to celebrate the child's birthday, or other significant event, instead of sending in cupcakes or other sweets.
