I happened to catch a re-run of Cook's Country recently. If you're not familiar, Cook's Country is a cooking program that airs on PBS. This particular episode revealed the best cooking thermometers as tested by the program's sister-magazine, Cook's Illustrated.
The winner was the Cooper-Atkins Dial Oven Thermometer.
When the host of the program said "Cooper-Atkins," I did a double take. Was he talking about the Cooper-Atkins in Middlefield?
He was!
Who knew?
Okay, maybe someone out there reading this knows that Cooper-Atkins in Middlefield makes high quality oven thermometers, but I sure as heck didn't.
How cool! (Or, is it how hot?)
Well, it's too late to suggest purchasing the thermometer as a Christmas gift but at $6.99 how can you go wrong?
Remember, Cook's Illustrated said the thermometer "remained accurate and easy to read throughout their months of testing. This was the least expensive thermometer, too."
Click here if you're interested in ordering Cooper-Atkins' thermometer (and in turn supporting a local business).
You'll never overcook that pot roast again!
