If one were looking for apples in Connecticut on Easter Weekend, Lyman Orchards was just the place to find them. Kids and grown-ups alike were treated to a country affair like no other. Lyman Orchards' Easter Apple Hunt has become a 28-year-old holiday tradition in Middlefield, CT. Saturday's hunt was the largest to date. John Lyman III was on hand to help with the festivities. Families from all around Connecticut came to see Middlefield’s beautiful orchard. On the way through town, the Easter bunny also hopped through the orchard to visit the children. Kids of all ages enjoyed pony rides, hayrides, and delicious orchard-made treats.  They were also entertained with a magic show by magician Chris Hurlbert. The great apple hunt would be the day’s most awaited moment.  Thousands of apples could be seen across the Apple Barrel's fields and the kids waited eagerly to pick them up. While they would be picked up in just minutes, the excitement would remain throughout the day.
