Middlefield's Summer Concert Series Kicks-Off Tonight

Weather permitting, Middlefield Park and Rec's Summer Concert Series will kick off tonight at Peckham Park.

The Benevolent Dictators are scheduled to perform at the Middlefield Lions Club Pavilion from 7-10 p.m. The concert is FREE!

The classic rock cover band has performed all over Connecticut, including the Durham Fair, playing the hits of Van Morrison, The Allman Brothers Band, Rolling Stones, Eagles and B.B. King to name a few.

"I'd like to see as many old friends from Middlefield and Durham as possible and part of what makes our band unique is we invite others that play or sing to join us on stage and sit in with us for a few songs so musicians (including horn players) should bring instruments so they can become part of the band," said band member and Middlefield native Bill Glueck.

The band also has tambourines, moroccas and a clave for the kids so they can play percussion along with the band.

So grab a friend, a lawn chair and an instrument if you have one and come on down to Peckham Park tonight!
