Towns to Beach-Going Dogs: Take a Walk

Starting April 1, most of the state's four-legged residents won't be able to frolic and feel the sandy shoreline beaches underneath their furry paws again until October.

The dog days of summer will be here before we know it, and that means the days of dogs at the beach are coming to a close.

There's just one more week to bring your furry friends (and horses) to town beaches. After March 31, dogs won't be allowed back onto most town beaches along the shoreline until Oct. 1. [Dates may vary from town to town.]
