Route 79 Road Work Scheduled to Take 10 Days

The following information is provided by the Connecticut Department of Transportation:

Milling and Resurfacing along Route 79 in Durham
       

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project is being performed on Route 79 in Durham, May 13-23, 2013.       The project consists of milling and resurfacing a 1.73 mile segment of Route 79 in Durham.    

LANE CLOSURE INFO
      

Motorists can expect lane closures to occur on Route 79 between Pisgah Road and Route 17.  One day of milling is anticipated on Monday, May 13, 2013, with resurfacing resuming on Monday, May 20, 2013.  Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (weekdays).        

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
