Middlefield Woman Makes 'Top 40 Under 40' List in CT Magazine

Jessica Carson, the Director of Development for Connecticut Humanities, made the Connecticut Magazine list.

A Middlefield woman and noted figure in the nonprofit sector in Connecticut has been named to the "Top 40 Under 40" list in Connecticut Magazine.

Each year, the magazine recognizes young artists, community leaders, entrepreneurs, athletes and artists, among others, based on nominations and the magazine's editors.

Jessica Carson, 33, the development director for the Middletown-based Connecticut Humanities, was named to the list. She is one of a handful of individuals from Middlesex County and the only one from Middlefield.

Here's what Connecticut Magazine had to say about her:

"Jessica Carso’s philanthropic work has put her in high demand in the nonprofit sector, but, more importantly, as an advocate for social change she’s making a difference in people’s lives. Carso’s effective fundraising helped launch Wesleyan University’s Green Street Arts Center into the forefront of the Middletown arts community."
