What do you least like about town: That we have no seasonal bulk garbage pick up like neighboring towns offer

Where do you work:  I have worked at Coginchaug High School for 28 years now as one of the “Cafeteria Ladies”

What is your favorite…

Place to eat: That’s easy! The Sirloin Saloon in Rutland, Vermont!

Place to shop: That would probably be Kohl’s because they have such great products and deals

Place to visit: I’ve got a few, but topping the list would have to be Bennington and Brattleboro, Vermont, followed closely by Emerald Lake in Hillsborough, New Hampshire

Fondest memory of town: That’s easy too! I have many wonderful memories of my own children attending Brewster school in Durham. Specifically, things like Brewster school’s old Field Day event when it was actually held at Brewster school. And the holiday performances the kids were a part of. And the numerous field trips I took with the school and my children -all wonderful fond memories for me. Now I have four grandchildren all in the Durham/Middlefield school district- from Brewster school to Coginchaug!

A recent accomplishment: Well something new at Coginchaug this year is the new Power Lunch System installed just last fall. The Power Lunch System gives each student a card that their parents put money on so there is no more lost lunch money and kids can just zip their card through and get their lunch in a speedier manner. The touch screen system took some getting used to, so I guess that’s my most recent ‘accomplishment’.

Any personal thoughts you’d like to share with Patch: I’d just like to say that I feel very lucky to be working at Coginchaug High school for twenty-eight years.
