Let's Meet Jack McShane

Track coach at Coginchaug Regional High School

Name: Jack McShane

Town: Durham

How long have you lived in Durham: Since June of 1985

What do you like best about Durham: The tight-knit community where everybody knows, and looks out for, each other. A contrast to Brooklyn, New York  (hometown)

What do you like least about Durham: It's not Summer all year long. It'd be perfect here if it were Summer all year long

What is your favorite:

Place to eat? Broadway Joe's Pizza in the Bronx, near Manhattan College

Place to go shopping? The Run-In in Rocky Hill, CT

Place to Visit? Central Park

Fondest memory of Durham: Coaching Little League baseball on the Allyn Brook fields

A recent accomplishment: Completeing my 28th New York City Marathon

Interesting story: One of my favorite running moments was out-kicking Lance Armstrong at the 2006 New York City Marathon
