Garden Hosts Wanted in Durham and Middlefield

The Coginchaug Area Transition is sponsoring a Middlefield and Durham area garden tour for Sunday, June 30th, from 1-4 pm.

Do you have a garden, or do you want to plan a garden? Do you wish to gather some knowledge on growing certain organic veggies or flowers? Do you want ideas on companion planting? How about row covers to keep out pests? What about drip irrigation? Maybe you'd like to learn the pros & cons of raised beds? Mulching techniques? Composting? Perhaps you would enjoy seeing the gardens of others in our area, and learning more about their tried & true methods! Register for our garden tour!

On the other side of the gate, perhaps you have success with something in your vegetable or flower garden that you'd be willing to share? Do you have a specialty, like potatoes? dahlias? organic fruit trees? How about a garden design that you're proud of, and excited to share?

Coginchaug Area Transition is sponsoring a Middlefield / Durham area garden tour for Sunday afternoon, June 30th, from 1-4 pm. We are currently planning stops along the tour for both edible gardening and flower gardening. Please send an email to Jen Huddleston at jen.e.ren10@gmail.com to volunteer to be a host garden, or to sign up to take the tour. Our community is ripe with knowledge and inspiration!  Please participate in this fun and wholesome event, and in so doing, help to cultivate a healthier and more beautiful community!
