Free Shredding Event Open to Durham, Middlefield Residents

The shredding events will be happening twice in October.

A local municipal group is holding a free paper shredding event in Middletown in October, and residents of Durham and Middlefield are welcome to attend.

The Lower Connecticut River Valley Council of Governments is holding the paper shredding event on Saturday, Oct. 19, from 9 a.m. to noon on, 5 Dump Road in Essex. 


Can't make it all the way to Essex? Well, there's another one at 82 Berlin St. in Middletown on Saturday, Oct. 26, from 10 a.m. to noon.

Residents can bring five boxes or bags full of old personal papers, such as: medical records, legal documents, financial and tax returns. No businesses allowed and an ID Required.
