Durham to Hold Veterans Day Ceremony on Nov. 11

The ceremony will start at 11 a.m. on the Town Green.

The Durham VFW Post #10169 would like to invite the entire community to attend the annual Veterans Day Ceremony on the Durham Town Green.

The ceremony is happening on Monday, Nov. 11, at 11 a.m., in honor of the traditional Armistice Day date and time.

There will be a brief ceremony honoring all who serve will be followed my personal reflections. The ceremony will also consist of a raising and lowering of the flag, a prayer, taps and remarks by First Selectman Laura Francis and other speakers. 

Scouting groups are encouraged to attend. The event is being coordinated by VFW Quartermaster Bob Peterson.
