Durham Public Library Now Holding Appointments for 'Tech Therapy'

Need help with your PC? The library has staff that will assist you.

The below posting came from a press release from Library Director Trish Connolly.

Puzzled by your new PC? Defeated by downloading? Anxious about apps? Exasperated by email? Flummoxed on Facebook?

The Durham Public Library staff wants to help! Our "Tech Therapists" are available by appointment for one-on-one instruction. Librarians will do their best to answer your questions about downloadable audio and e-books, Zinio for Libraries, using the online library catalog and databases, setting up email and Facebook accounts, or anything else that sets off a "technological tizzy."

Appointments last a maximum of 45 minutes; those needing further instruction will be required to join the waiting list. Reservations can be made by emailing Trish Connolly at tconnolly@durhamlibrary.org, or by calling(860) 349-9544. Patrons will be asked their name and contact information, what they want to learn, and the device they will be using. Participants are required to have basic functionality knowledge of their computing device.
