CVEF’s Flights of Fancy and Song, Coming Up!
It’s spring, and birds are on the wing! Over 35 Durham/Middlefield artists are busy creating fabulous one-of-a-kind birdhouses to be silent-auctioned at CVEF’s May 2 event, “Flights of Fancy and Song.”
The event will be held from 6:30 to 9:30 pm at Indian Springs Golf Course in Middlefield.

In addition to the birdhouses, recycled instrument art — courtesy of CRHS Parents of Performers (POPs) — will be auctioned as well.
Join us for a gala evening of music, food, drink, community camaraderie—and bidding, of course! Those of you who attended the inaugural birdhouse auction two years ago recall how wonderful the birdhouses were.

Birdhouse proceeds benefit the Coginchaug Valley Education Foundation (CVEF), whose mission is to promote excellence, innovation, and creativity in education for the community and to support lifelong learning in Durham and Middlefield by giving grants and sponsoring programs.
CVEF awarded six grants in 2013 for the following: Destination Durham TV Program, Kalmia Gardens Chamber Music Series, Durham Fair Composting Project, Korn School Mosaic Mural Project, Middlefield Historical Society, and DART (Durham Animal Rescue Training). Instrument art proceeds benefit POPs.
You can order tickets ahead online at www.coginchaugvef.com, or pay at the door with check, cash or credit cards.
