Taxes Due in Durham

The last day to pay tax bills without penalty is February 1. This date is required per state statutes and I do not have a legal authority to change the last day to pay.

If the Town Hall is closed early or not open at all due to safety concerns related to weather the February 1 date is still the last day to pay without penalty.

Please note that we accept mail with a USPS postmark of February 1 as on-time. If you have not sent your payment you can still go to the Post Office on Tuesday and mail an "on-time" payment.

The Town website: www.townofdurhamct.org also allows for electronic payments. Be advised that there is a fee associated with this service.

I would suggest to parents to donate a book to the classroom or school library in their child's nameRead More to celebrate the child's birthday, or other significant event, instead of sending in cupcakes or other sweets.
