The Durham Basketball Association (DBA) will hold tryouts for 2012-13 Travel Teams in October. Tryouts will be held at Lake Grove Gymnasium, 480 Wallingford Rd (Route 68) in Durham, CT. The tryout dates are as follows:
5th Grade Girls Tuesday, October 9 6:00pm – 7:30pm
6th Grade Girls Wednesday, October 10 6:00pm – 7:30pm
7th Grade Girls Friday, October 12 6:00pm – 7:30pm
8th Grade Girls Friday, October 12 7:30pm – 9:00pm
5th Grade Boys Wednesday, October 17 6:00pm – 7:30pm
6th Grade Boys Thursday, October 11 7:30pm – 9:00pm
7th Grade Boys Tuesday, October 16 6:00pm – 7:30pm
8th Grade Boys Wednesday, October 10 7:30pm – 9:00pm
Advanced registration for tryouts is strongly encouraged. However, registration at the time of tryouts will also be accepted. Tryout Registration Forms are available on the DBA website, www.dbact.org. Submit a completed registration form by email to contactdba1@dbact.org, or mail to DBA, PO Box 641, Durham, CT 06422.
Additionally, for children in the 5th or 6th grade who live in Durham, or Middlefield/Rockfall, the DBA is offering a Free Pre-Season Tune-Up Clinic. Those interested in travel basketball are encouraged to participate. The clinics will be held in Durham at Lake Grove Gymnasium prior to tryouts from 6:00 to 8:00pm on October 2nd for boys, and October 3rd for Girls. Clinic Registration Forms are available on the DBA website, www.dbact.org. Submit a completed registration form by email to contactdba1@dbact.org, or bring one with you to the clinic.
Participation in tryouts for travel teams is open to girls and boys entering grades 5 through 8 who live in Durham or Middlefield/Rockfall.
