The valve at the Lake Beseck dam was opened by DEEP this morning in preparation for a repair that is anticipated to begin sometime after Thanksgiving.
Many are curious about what lies beneath the water and what the lake will look like after it is drawn down. Take advantage of this transition period to educate your children of the dangers of walking out onto areas of the lake bed after it is lowered. Some areas of the lake contain muck that is quite deep.
