Lake Beseck Cardboard Boat Race

Finish off the summer with a bang by participating in the Lake Beseck Cardboard Boat Race on Saturday September 7, another great event brought to you by Middlefield Park & Rec.

Return for a MOVIE AFTER DARK!

Festivities from 1-4p - movie after dark.
 
Snack Shack will be open
 
Contestant age categories:
 
-Under 12 (one adult may accompany youth)
-12 and up
*Life Vests required
 
Prizes awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd Place Finish!
 
MOST CREATIVE
MOST SPECTACULAR SINKING
BEST TEAM SPIRIT
 
Everyone is welcome to join the fun! 
 
Boats to be made of cardboard and duct tape only. 
Create a theme, decorative paint allowed, put your team name on boat and see who can beat their competitors to the finish line without sinking! Contestants will race from the beach to race markers and back.
*Decorative paint must be cured prior to event day.
 
Who will you see at the event?  
Middlefield Selectmen, Senator Dante Bartolomeo, Rep. Buddy Altobello, Middlefield Park & Rec, Lake Beseck Environment Committee, New England Environmental, Inc.  Other leader's, committee's, groups, businesses are encouraged to participate.
