9/11 Remembrance Ceremony, Wadsworth Park Meeting, Hot Weather Coming

Five things to help plan your day on this 10th of September.

Good Tuesday morning from Durham-Middlefield Patch! Here's some news to start your day:

  1. The Town of Durham will be holding a remembrance ceremony on Wednesday in honor of the thousands who died on Sept. 11, 2001. The ceremony will be on the Town Green in Durham at 5:30 p.m.

  2. Don't forget: state Rep. Buddy Altobello and state Sen. Dante Bartolomeo will be holding a public meeting with residents on Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the Middlefield Community Center to discuss the status of Wadsworth State Park since the state enacted a slew of new rules there.

  3. Durham-Middlefield Patch is looking for bloggers interested in talking about the upcoming municipal elections or the candidates. We'd love to hear from you! You can find out more details on this by clicking here.

  4. There is going to be a free paper shredding event in Middletown on Saturday, Oct. 26, and it is open to all residents of Durham and Middlefield. Details here.

  5. While we've been enjoying this fall-like weather for the past few days don't forget: It's going to be a hot one tomorrow. Forecasters are saying temperatures are supposed to hit the upper 80s on Wednesday and potentially reaching 90 degrees for some inland towns. Don't pack those shorts away yet. ;)

Have a great day everyone!
