TJ- you say you know the definition of the work volunteer. The dictionary definition or have youRead Morebee n a " Emergency Volunteer" ? I'm not saying this guy was right or wrong with the way he was driving, I wasn't there. If you do not have someone in your family that is in Fire or EMS, you have no idea of the brotherhood that they have. I have lived it first hand for 20 years. How many nights was that chair empty at dinner or missed the school function because "daddy was playing fireman". To most this will sound funny, but you have no idea!! I thank you Durham Fire and EMS for responding to the people of this town!!

I cannot speak to Mark's behavior in this instance, but I can tell you that 1) Mr. Whittaker, he is Read Morenot an idiot; 2) he is one of the most caring and considerate neighbors you would ever hope to have; 3)his selfless service to our community (as well as that of all our other volunteers) is invaluable. Take care, Mark. We appreciate you!

Honestly TJ this could be seen by both sides...but in my opinion ignorance is bliss and in yourRead Morecase you obviously dont care much about others as much as yourself...any respectful human would realize there is an emergency in progress and help is needed and would pull over...keep on with your life and realize that when there is a fire at your house pray that the volunteers don't get stuck behind an "idiot" (as you like to call people) going slow and not wanting to pull over and get to your house on time....or you can move to a new town but than again firefighters are everyone an if one is behind you Pull Over....and as a parent knowing your kids were in the car you should of used better judgement

Did you know that Chem Lawn aka Tru Green is sprayed at Coginchaug High School right across the way Read Morefrom Allyn Brook Park? This not only affects the park it affects the brook. Support this bill which is trying to stop the use of these chemicals that affect everyone. The spray drifts over to the grammar school lawn even if they are not spraying that area. That is how our little dog Murphy died from the second hand spray. Support this bill. Thanks
