Honestly TJ this could be seen by both sides...but in my opinion ignorance is bliss and in yourRead Morecase you obviously dont care much about others as much as yourself...any respectful human would realize there is an emergency in progress and help is needed and would pull over...keep on with your life and realize that when there is a fire at your house pray that the volunteers don't get stuck behind an "idiot" (as you like to call people) going slow and not wanting to pull over and get to your house on time....or you can move to a new town but than again firefighters are everyone an if one is behind you Pull Over....and as a parent knowing your kids were in the car you should of used better judgement

There are so many things wrong with this post of self absorbed self entitlement that it may haveRead Moreset new lows for the area I grew up in. I do not even know where to begin with this but will move forward with random thoughts as I see them. 1st off everyone knows to pull over when they see blue lights regardless of where you are as most of us lesser important people think one day those blue lights may be going to someone we know. This shows how much you think of yourself. Calling out a volunteer, something that Middlefield and Durham have a huge problem with because people are too important to volunteer, is so wrong on so many accounts. This guy has bounded with his brother and sister volunteers and through his loyalty he has going to get to that house while taking all precautions. These guys burn their own gas, leave their children behind, miss the big game, and this is the type of post I see on this rag? Mark, look me up and I'll buy you a beer and thanks for protecting my family along with the other volunteers.

It's best to pull over when you see the flashing blue light. I served on the towns Public Safety Read MoreCommittee and learned a lot . We tried to get a tax exemption ( serve on volunteer FD/ Ambulance corps= no car tax ) for them and Ray Kalinowski told us it was against state law . We were also told by a former FD chief that if we put the ambulance corps in" their" building, all the volunteers would quit and the town would have to hire full time firefighters .

Did you know that Chem Lawn aka Tru Green is sprayed at Coginchaug High School right across the way Read Morefrom Allyn Brook Park? This not only affects the park it affects the brook. Support this bill which is trying to stop the use of these chemicals that affect everyone. The spray drifts over to the grammar school lawn even if they are not spraying that area. That is how our little dog Murphy died from the second hand spray. Support this bill. Thanks
