Interlocal Agreement Ready for Vote in Durham

More than a year in the making, the new document requires the approval of voters from both Durham and Middlefield.

Following months of review, adjustments and public hearings, a final draft of the Interlocal Agreement between the towns of Durham and Middlefield has been reached and will now be presented to voters in both towns.

The agreement sets the rules and regulations by which the Transfer Station operates.

The Town of Durham has scheduled a town meeting for Monday, Feb. 13 at 8 p.m., at Town Hall at which time a vote will take place for the following purpose:

To grant permission to the Board of Selectmen to execute the proposed Interlocal Agreement between the Towns of Durham and Middlefield and to execute any documents and perform such actions as are necessary to enter into the Interlocal Agreement between the Towns of Durham and Middlefield.

Middlefield has not yet scheduled a town meeting to vote on the agreement.

See the PDF for the final draft.
